Pink Moon in Libra

This Spring we get to experience the Pink Moon in Libra and you may be able to tilt the scales in your favor. This April 19th the Pink Moon is a full moon to usher in the season of renewal and rebirth.

While the Pink Moon has attributes all on its own we’re seeing Libra’s influence on this magical night. Lets make room for the charming and refined personality of Libra that sends us over the moon for our loved one.

This season also brings us pastel bunnies, fruity flavored jelly beans, and sugary marshmallow chicks. Our baskets are full so lets get ready to spread that cheer and share our sweet spirits with others. Do you have a relationship that has been neglected? It’s time to balance the scale and allow some renewal to take shape.

You may want to work with some crystals to help set the mood or build an altar devoted to the work you’ll be doing in spirit. Some crystals to work with are egg shapes or even a unicorn for some magical influence.

Rhodochrosite Eggs play a pivotal role in the season of renewal and rebirth.

Rose Quartz has always been associated with love and these pink eggs have been bathed under the gentle waves of fairy chimes and are ready to sweeten your love life.

Blue Fluorite can support your communication efforts and make room for good listening skills too.

Green Aventurine is associated with the heart and all matters of love should be born in the heart.

Enjoy this beautiful season and may all the magical blessings be with you and yours.

Super Moon in Libra, the Equinox, and Why We All Need Their Influence

As we approach the season of Aries we’ll see the full moon in Libra at the time of the Spring Equinox this week. This is the time of year we get to see 12 full hours of night and 12 full hours of daylight. This season of dark and light reminds us that while there are some who approach life with a black and white mindset, there’s so much color in this world to enjoy.

Even though we have 12 hours of night this equinox we aren’t in complete darkness. We have the moon to brighten our paths (and even on the new moon when we don’t see her light we still have the stars to brighten the night sky and guide us).

This stellar balance between the sun and the moon has been teaching us for as long as humans have inhabited this world. Their dance through the cosmos, with the stars to twinkle beside them, is a performance like no other. While there are some who firmly believe magic is either black or white, the cosmos shows us color even among the star dust, the aurora borealis, and the sunrises and sunsets.

Our universe and Mother Earth has shown us life isn’t just black and white. Life is so full of color and includes shade and light. It’s how we see the depths of things. If life was all light, all the time, we’d go blind. We need the shadows to give us perspective.

The Spring (and Fall) equinox teaches us balance and equality. When the sun’s light travels around our equator (because of the earth’s orbit), we can learn that the sun shines the same for all of us. We all, no matter which hemisphere we live on, will have equal daylight and night hours. Just as the sun shines equally for all of us, we all have equal value in this life.

The earth is the mother of all people, and all people should have equal rights upon it.” ~ Chief Joseph

Likewise, when the daylight and night hours fluctuate during the rest of the year, we’re reminded of how human we really are. Not everyone believes in equality and balance. As I said earlier, some people have a very black and white view. “We’re right and you’re wrong”.

The Universe always has a way of teaching us valuable truths to inspire us to grow and evolve. The balance and equality we learn from the equinox is so timely this year because it’s accompanied by a Libra full moon. Libra is all about balance, order, and justice. Even more magical is that Libra’s ruling planet is Venus, the planet of LOVE. So here we have this beautiful theme this season of equality, balance, justice, and love.

Let this season be a time of personal contemplation. How can we improve ourselves in the area of equality for all? How can we adjust our schedules and priorities to make room for order? What can we eliminate to be sure we live a life of balance? As we approach Aries season, lets make room now for how the upcoming season of new beginnings can be beneficial for our lives.

Some quick fun facts about Libra:

  • Element: Air
  • Ruling Planet: Venus
  • Symbol: Scales

Super Snow Moon

February 19, 2019 marks the most fullest super moon of 2019, our beloved Snow Moon. The term, Snow Moon, is probably not as embraced by those suffering from the polar vortex this year. Though it will be quite a sight if your skies are clear.

Snow Moon

This Super Snow Moon rises into Virgo, our astrological organizer! This is the perfect time to spend some time sorting through what no longer serves you and make some donations. Virgo is detail oriented and hard working so harness that skill for yourself and get your home and work space in order.

When I’m working on my home or work space I always begin with ritual to make sure my focus stays on target. There’s no time for distractions while the moon is in Virgo. We need to strike while the iron is hot!

Begin by visualizing how you what the space to look when you’re done. Once you have that image in your mind, light a candle and anoint it with essential oils. I like to use wild orange or grapefruit to get that added zing into my work. Next, visualize what steps it’s going to take to get there. You’re more likely to follow through when you’ve visualized those steps.

Now place some crystals around your candle on your altar or create a grid. These crystals help hold that energy while you work and help keep you going.

Crystals: Iceland Spar Sphere, China Blue Fluorite, Argentinian Blue Calcite

The crystals I work with depend on a few factors. What space am I working in? If it’s my bedroom, I focus on working with deep red crystals to promote romance. If it’s my bathroom, I work with clear quartz and water element crystals such as turquoise, blue calcite, or aquamarine.

Sometimes I see people commenting in social media poking fun at those of us who honor the Goddess and the full moons, but if the full moon reminds you of areas of your life that needs some extra TLC then don’t worry about the nay sayers. This Virgo full moon certainly won’t let critics get in the way of your personal growth.

Now move forward in accomplishing your organizational goals and celebrate with your favorite treat or drink once you’re done. Bless the space and smudge with Palo Santo to bring in added blessings.

Many magical blessings to you.

Full Super Moon in Leo

There’s a buzz about this weekend’s full super moon in Leo along with questions about whether one should or shouldn’t place their crystals out under this eclipsing full moon. Leo is one of our fire signs in the astrological line up and meeting a roaring Leo under an eclipsing full moon can cause one to shudder. It’s also known as a Blood Super Moon! I don’t know about you but when Leo (lion) and blood are involved in a full eclipsing moon, I shake to the bone. There’s a lot of power there.

I’m not one to buy into tales of fear, though erring on the side of caution is a wise thing to do. We can take wisdom from other famous Leos who have become successful participants in this vast universe. Power house leaders such as Barack Obama, Jennifer Lawrence, Madonna, Lynda Carter, and J.K. Rowling can be among those we look to for example of leadership and/or success! How can we harness the power of Leo under this full super moon?

Respect the energy. Leo’s energy can be wild and unfiltered, but at the same time it can be quite the show. Leo is known for its gorgeous mane and reveals to us that our first impressions are important. Put your best foot (paw) forward and look your best! There could be a fight ahead of you and you’ll want to be prepared in every aspect. Sometimes a strong and confident person can effectively shut down an enemy energy before a fight can begin. Be wise and cunning. Leos can blaze through life, but remember those around you. Life isn’t all about us and we should consider the lives around us. A good leader will not forget those around them who need their courageous influence.

Magical people have a long held tradition of wisely selecting crystals to work with under full moons. For this Leo super moon I’m recommending some crystals to heighten that fiery Leo energy along with some protective crystals to balance the chaotic energy of the eclipse.

Orange Calcite

Orange calcite lends its fiery passion for creativity and motivation to change.

Uses: Creativity, energy, acceptance

Affirmations: “I accept the things I cannot change and am motivated to transform the things I can.”

Amphibole Phantom Generators

Amphibole Phantom Generators contain four minerals to support an array of energy healing. Limonite lends it’s yellow hue to these phantom quartz generators with its support for psychic protection. The red hues are from Hematite, a mineral used to support blood energy. When Limonite and Hematite blend together, you begin working with an inner knowing you can sense down to the bones and marrow.

Carnelian Flames

Carnelian carries it’s own kind of fire, as you can see in these hot flames!
When the Full Moon is aligned with some Zodiacs, you can add Carnelian to your altar or grids to maximize the energy. Taurus, Leo, Cancer, and Scorpio are signs with passion that work well with Carnelian, especially in this flame form. Flames represent fire and passion, motivation and energy.

Black Tourmaline

I choose to work with Black Tourmaline for protective energy under an eclipsing moon, because it carries such a grounding protective force.

Black Tourmaline is my favorite gem to work with when it comes to doing shielding work. I can work with this powerfully strong mineral to block out any spiritual spies from ‘seeing’ me or my family.

“Out of sight, out of mind.”

It’s a simple method of being in the shadows where I can be safely out of sight from those who wish to cause me trouble.

Smokey Quartz

Out of all the smokey quartz I have in my magical tool box, my raw double terminated smokey quartz wand is my go-to crystal for transmuting negative energy that may come from different directions. Since this full super blood moon will be eclipsing we should be watchful about the energy that can permeate the spaces around us.

For those who work with the other elements I recommend anointing your protective crystals with black pepper essential oil. Your fiery crystals can be anointed with orange essential oil. After ritual you can cleanse their energy by smudging with sage and placing in a bowl of salt over night. I like to work with herbs as well and sometimes sprinkle dried flowers and herbs over my crystals to balance their energy. Some herbs I’ve used are fresh ground black pepper, lavender, rose petals, and sage.

Magical blessings to you and yours,

🌒🌕🌘 Hunter’s Full Moon is in Taurus today!

Taurus is all about aesthetics. Does everything look pretty, colors blend well, textures are luxurious and comfortable? This is what Taurus is all about. So it makes sense to work with the Taurus Full Moon to make sure we’re ready for what lies ahead.

We’re preparing for winter and the nights are already cooler and get darker earlier in the evening.

How’s the bedroom looking and feeling? It’s time to feather the nest for the long winter nights.

Clean night stand? Is the headboard dusted? Uncluttered?

🕯Set out a nice candle and clean the linens. Time to pull out the softy blankets for snuggle time.

Taurus also governs daily routines in the home. This is my fav time of year for creating beautiful morning rituals to help set the mood for when the family wakes up.
