This Spring we get to experience the Pink Moon in Libra and you may be able to tilt the scales in your favor. This April 19th the Pink Moon is a full moon to usher in the season of renewal and rebirth.
While the Pink Moon has attributes all on its own we’re seeing Libra’s influence on this magical night. Lets make room for the charming and refined personality of Libra that sends us over the moon for our loved one.
This season also brings us pastel bunnies, fruity flavored jelly beans, and sugary marshmallow chicks. Our baskets are full so lets get ready to spread that cheer and share our sweet spirits with others. Do you have a relationship that has been neglected? It’s time to balance the scale and allow some renewal to take shape.
You may want to work with some crystals to help set the mood or build an altar devoted to the work you’ll be doing in spirit. Some crystals to work with are egg shapes or even a unicorn for some magical influence.
All of us, no matter where on the Zodiac chart we find ourselves, have herbs that can support who we are in the cosmos. There are a few herbs for each Zodiac, but in this chart I focus in on one main herb to support you. **When you get to the bottom of this post you can find the master list of herbs for the zodiac to share with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest.
Aries- For Aries you’re going to be supported by Geranium. Geraniums begin to bloom during your birth month and offer such vibrant beauty to the world around them. Their flowers range in color from white to red. The color red represents the element of fire, of which your sign is corresponded to. Add geranium flower petals to your next batch of moon water or use its essential oil to support your complexion’s health.
Taurus- Catnip is beneficial for the Taurean because it can be steeped in tea to create a soothing nighttime potion to help you rest well. It helps boost mood, relaxation, and eases anxiety. While a Taurus typically takes a while to get angry, catnip can help during those times when you’re seeing red all around.
Gemini- Lavender is a fragrant herb that can be used to support feeling relaxed and to inspire an overall feeling of well-being. A Gemini can become distracted from tasks and lavender can help calm anxiousness when you feel like moving on to the next project too quickly. Anoint your pillow with lavender essential oil for a good night’s rest.
Cancer- One of my personal favorites (even though I’m not a Cancer) is white sage. Cancer tends to be the sign that struggles the most with anxiety, emotional upheaval, and picks up on all sorts of vibes so white sage is the best herb to support you. Smudging with white sage can help bring you back to Mother Earth and settle those turbulent emotions.
Leo- Sunflower is the herb for our fiery Leos and they’re quite the show off among the herbal community. Their bright yellow petals symbolize the sun, which is the ruling planet of Leo. Dry the petals and use them in your next bonfire offering.
Virgo- The herb I chose for the holy woman of the Zodiac is marjoram. Virgo holds the power of healing with her intentions of making the world a better place. Marjoram is a medicinal herb that is antioxidant and has antimicrobial properties. You can steep marjoram in hot water for a steamy respiratory aid.
Libra- Thyme is an herb that symbolizes balance and since Libra is all about the scales of justice we find thyme to be the best herb for a Libra to partner with. Thyme is known for offering support for balanced skin health. Many Libras struggle with self-confidence so reach for an aromatic solution made with thyme to bring out your radiant self.
Scorpio- Some folklore claims that scorpions would breed in the presence of basil and this sign of the Zodiac is represented by the reproductive organs. The sting of a scorpion can leave quite a scar, but working with basil can bring healing (even when you’ve been stung by your own stinger).
Sagittarius- Saffron is quite the vibrant spice with its fiery hues. It’s the most expensive in the herbal/spice community which makes it ideal for a Sagittarius (who loves the finer things in life). Like the Sag, Saffron is corresponded to the element of fire. A pinch of saffron in warm milk at night is said to boost your libido, not that a Sag would need help in that area. 😉
Capricorn- A Capricorn has an active mind and rosemary is known to support brain stimulation. Its herbal power offers the Capricorn the magic of its essence. Simply steep fresh crushed rosemary in hot water to feel the brain benefit in its steam as you inhale with deep breaths.
Aquarius- Aquarius pairs best with fennel because Aquarians tend to have a developed cosmic affinity to know what makes people tick. Their mind is always searching for sound philosophy and understanding to the human psyche. Fennel is believed to support focus and to help the mind retain information. It’s fragrance strengthens the mind and the memory, making this the most ideal herb to work with.
Pisces- The herb I believe to be the most supportive for a Pisces is lemon balm. Pisces tend to need support to avoid addictions brought on by anxiety. They can be restless at times and seek to self medicate. Whether it’s through traditional medicines or by relieving that itch for sugar with a massive ice cream sundae, lemon balm can ease that tension. Try creating a lemon balm honey to be used in your next cup of chamomile tea.

Aries season is upon us and we honor and celebrate those born between March 20th – April 19th. Also, those whose Moon is in Aries! Have you ever discovered what your moon sign is? You can get your free Natal Chart from Astrostyle or use the TimePassages app (free). Now lets learn about the crystals that can support our strong and fiery Ariens.
There’s always going to be boundless images on the net and on Pinterest that claim which crystals are for Aries (and all the other signs in the Zodiac), but lets take a look at WHY certain crystals can support an Aries or a person whose moon is in Aries.
One of the foremost characteristics of an Aries is the symbolism of rebirth, renewal, and new beginnings. Aries is the first in the line of in our Zodiac and leads the way. For rebirth we work with Rose Quartz.
Rose Quartz– Rose Quartz is the traditional stone of love and for any rebirth process we need to have a good foundation in love. Love is what inspires us to go further in life. Ariens tend to be generous souls, always willing to lend a hand when someone is in need. They usually are seen as having a magnetic personality and draws people toward them.
Argentinian Blue Calcite– This form of blue calcite holds a lovely water energy, as if from the sea herself. This crystal is to offer support to our zodiac brothers and sisters because Aries is know for having a quick and hot temper. Blue Calcite cools those hot emotions to bring balance to their mood.
Carnelian– In the photo above you’ll see a Carnelian flame because Aries is a fire sign in the zodiac. While Aries holds its own fire energy, the Carnelian stone is known for creativity and energy. If you know an Aries you may have noticed their ability to take action when it’s needed. This is a spectacular characteristic and Carnelian is there to support this strong vibe.
Lepidolite– Ariens tend to struggle with patience so I offer Lepidolite as a support crystal. Lepidolite contains lithium, a mineral known to assist in calming your nerves which can support them in being patient. This doesn’t mean you should grind this beauty down and take it internally, leave the meds up to your physician. 😉
Honey Calcite– Aries is known for being optimistic and optimism is supported through honey calcite. This juicy and sweet little crystal is buzzing with positive vibes!
Here’s a quick run down on a few facts about Aries:
Ruling Planet: Mars
Dreams and Animal Totem: If a ram has presented itself to you in a dream, it could be a message that there’s an opportunity and you need to lower your head and charge full steam ahead. It could also mean you have an obstacle to get through and your ram spirit animal is there to guide you to break down those barriers.
As we approach the season of Aries we’ll see the full moon in Libra at the time of the Spring Equinox this week. This is the time of year we get to see 12 full hours of night and 12 full hours of daylight. This season of dark and light reminds us that while there are some who approach life with a black and white mindset, there’s so much color in this world to enjoy.
Even though we have 12 hours of night this equinox we aren’t in complete darkness. We have the moon to brighten our paths (and even on the new moon when we don’t see her light we still have the stars to brighten the night sky and guide us).
This stellar balance between the sun and the moon has been teaching us for as long as humans have inhabited this world. Their dance through the cosmos, with the stars to twinkle beside them, is a performance like no other. While there are some who firmly believe magic is either black or white, the cosmos shows us color even among the star dust, the aurora borealis, and the sunrises and sunsets.
Our universe and Mother Earth has shown us life isn’t just black and white. Life is so full of color and includes shade and light. It’s how we see the depths of things. If life was all light, all the time, we’d go blind. We need the shadows to give us perspective.
The Spring (and Fall) equinox teaches us balance and equality. When the sun’s light travels around our equator (because of the earth’s orbit), we can learn that the sun shines the same for all of us. We all, no matter which hemisphere we live on, will have equal daylight and night hours. Just as the sun shines equally for all of us, we all have equal value in this life.
“The earth is the mother of all people, and all people should have equal rights upon it.” ~ Chief Joseph
Likewise, when the daylight and night hours fluctuate during the rest of the year, we’re reminded of how human we really are. Not everyone believes in equality and balance. As I said earlier, some people have a very black and white view. “We’re right and you’re wrong”.
The Universe always has a way of teaching us valuable truths to inspire us to grow and evolve. The balance and equality we learn from the equinox is so timely this year because it’s accompanied by a Libra full moon. Libra is all about balance, order, and justice. Even more magical is that Libra’s ruling planet is Venus, the planet of LOVE. So here we have this beautiful theme this season of equality, balance, justice, and love.
Let this season be a time of personal contemplation. How can we improve ourselves in the area of equality for all? How can we adjust our schedules and priorities to make room for order? What can we eliminate to be sure we live a life of balance? As we approach Aries season, lets make room now for how the upcoming season of new beginnings can be beneficial for our lives.
February 19, 2019 marks the most fullest super moon of 2019, our beloved Snow Moon. The term, Snow Moon, is probably not as embraced by those suffering from the polar vortex this year. Though it will be quite a sight if your skies are clear.
This Super Snow Moon rises into Virgo, our astrological organizer! This is the perfect time to spend some time sorting through what no longer serves you and make some donations. Virgo is detail oriented and hard working so harness that skill for yourself and get your home and work space in order.
When I’m working on my home or work space I always begin with ritual to make sure my focus stays on target. There’s no time for distractions while the moon is in Virgo. We need to strike while the iron is hot!
Begin by visualizing how you what the space to look when you’re done. Once you have that image in your mind, light a candle and anoint it with essential oils. I like to use wild orange or grapefruit to get that added zing into my work. Next, visualize what steps it’s going to take to get there. You’re more likely to follow through when you’ve visualized those steps.
Now place some crystals around your candle on your altar or create a grid. These crystals help hold that energy while you work and help keep you going.
The crystals I work with depend on a few factors. What space am I working in? If it’s my bedroom, I focus on working with deep red crystals to promote romance. If it’s my bathroom, I work with clear quartz and water element crystals such as turquoise, blue calcite, or aquamarine.
Sometimes I see people commenting in social media poking fun at those of us who honor the Goddess and the full moons, but if the full moon reminds you of areas of your life that needs some extra TLC then don’t worry about the nay sayers. This Virgo full moon certainly won’t let critics get in the way of your personal growth.
Now move forward in accomplishing your organizational goals and celebrate with your favorite treat or drink once you’re done. Bless the space and smudge with Palo Santo to bring in added blessings.
February’s New Moon is on the horizon, making it’s approach to our skies on February 4th. I don’t know about you, but I wanna see manifesting in my life every month in 2019! Wouldn’t it be great to see your intentions actually materialize?
When I’m working with the New Moon, I’m gathering herbs, candles, and crystals (along with some anointing ritual oils) to bring some spark to my craft. I just happen to believe that incorporating the elements into my spiritual practice makes all the difference.
One year when we were visiting Palm Springs I set some intentions to find something very specific for my practice. Whenever we arrive at one of our villas, I always set up a crystal grid and smudge. As I was meditating in our villa, I visualized a small round dish, made of clay. I pulled out some paper and anointed my pen and began writing down exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a small round clay dish, but I needed it to be made by a woman artist who was devoted to her craft. I included my budget, $5. My intuition began to flow as I visualized this little hand made treasure. I repeated the description out loud three times and explained exactly how I wanted to find it and where. At the very end of this intention setting I felt a further nudge from Spirit…. I drew a heart on the paper. I wrapped it into a small square and placed it in my purse.
Later that night, at the street fair…I found a pottery vendor…a female…an artist devoted to her craft…and a box of small clay treasures. I gently sorted through the box and found it! A small clay dish, hand made by a devoted female crafter…and as I turned it over, BEHOLD! I saw a small heart carved into the bottom. The heart is part of her signature.
I was so ecstatic about this spectacular manifestation that I called my husband over. I called the woman over and showed her my list! I explained about how I set my intentions and told her exactly what I was searching for and showed her the small clay treasure I found at HER booth! She was so excited and asked if she could have my intention paper. Of course!
It was such a magical night for both us us. The Universe gave us both the confirmation that magic is real. There really is power in the pen.
Sometimes I have very specific crystals I wanna work with, depending on what the intention is for. But I also have some crystals that are an all-around smart choice for anyone to work with, under the New Moon.
Crystals for New Moon Manifesting
When the moon is dark and the night is deep, I reach for Black Moonstone.
Black Moonstone is the premiere crystal to have take center stage on your New Moon altar. It’s symbolism is to empower you in all new things. This is the birth place of all new ideas and inspiration. I associate Black Moonstone with the Goddess, Morrigan. It’s secretive energy teaches us the mysteries of this ancient Goddess. As much as we all would love to say we work in all love and light, sometimes love requires the kind of strength The Morrigan can offer us. It can be dark, mysterious, and empowering. The energy we receive and manifest from working with Black Moonstone is the kind of energy that gives us the strength to be vocal leaders for equality for women.
Another magical treasure I sometimes work with under the New Moon is Labradorite, especially in sphere form.
Labradorite has been worked with by magic practitioners for support for the Heart, Third Eye, and Crown Chakras. It teaches us to allow our inner magic to be brought into the light to sparkle radiance in our lives. Labradorite has been partnered with healers to expand awareness of the heart and mind, develop psychic skills, and support for lucid dreaming. This makes Labradorite an astounding choice when setting intentions.
One last recommendation is to work with my Intuition Kit, curated to inspire your intuitive process.
Any time I work with magical intentions, I enlarge my borders to visualize what else I’m needing. When it comes to intuition, tunnel vision can severely limit our visionary journey. This is why I include several stones in this kit for you to work with. This kit is designed to help you connect with others (including spirit guides or angels) with an intuitive communication style.
After manifesting that scared little dish, I wished for all my loved ones to be able to manifest like that! We gather together in an intimate group on Facebook to seek wisdom, counsel, and guidance for our magical workings. I hope you’ll join us there and share your manifestation successes with us. *Mention this article when you join and get a special discount code for this upcoming New Moon.
There’s a buzz about this weekend’s full super moon in Leo along with questions about whether one should or shouldn’t place their crystals out under this eclipsing full moon. Leo is one of our fire signs in the astrological line up and meeting a roaring Leo under an eclipsing full moon can cause one to shudder. It’s also known as a Blood Super Moon! I don’t know about you but when Leo (lion) and blood are involved in a full eclipsing moon, I shake to the bone. There’s a lot of power there.
I’m not one to buy into tales of fear, though erring on the side of caution is a wise thing to do. We can take wisdom from other famous Leos who have become successful participants in this vast universe. Power house leaders such as Barack Obama, Jennifer Lawrence, Madonna, Lynda Carter, and J.K. Rowling can be among those we look to for example of leadership and/or success! How can we harness the power of Leo under this full super moon?
Respect the energy. Leo’s energy can be wild and unfiltered, but at the same time it can be quite the show. Leo is known for its gorgeous mane and reveals to us that our first impressions are important. Put your best foot (paw) forward and look your best! There could be a fight ahead of you and you’ll want to be prepared in every aspect. Sometimes a strong and confident person can effectively shut down an enemy energy before a fight can begin. Be wise and cunning. Leos can blaze through life, but remember those around you. Life isn’t all about us and we should consider the lives around us. A good leader will not forget those around them who need their courageous influence.
Magical people have a long held tradition of wisely selecting crystals to work with under full moons. For this Leo super moon I’m recommending some crystals to heighten that fiery Leo energy along with some protective crystals to balance the chaotic energy of the eclipse.
Orange calcite lends its fiery passion for creativity and motivation to change.
Uses: Creativity, energy, acceptance
Affirmations: “I accept the things I cannot change and am motivated to transform the things I can.”
Amphibole Phantom Generators contain four minerals to support an array of energy healing. Limonite lends it’s yellow hue to these phantom quartz generators with its support for psychic protection. The red hues are from Hematite, a mineral used to support blood energy. When Limonite and Hematite blend together, you begin working with an inner knowing you can sense down to the bones and marrow.
Carnelian carries it’s own kind of fire, as you can see in these hot flames! When the Full Moon is aligned with some Zodiacs, you can add Carnelian to your altar or grids to maximize the energy. Taurus, Leo, Cancer, and Scorpio are signs with passion that work well with Carnelian, especially in this flame form. Flames represent fire and passion, motivation and energy.
I choose to work with Black Tourmaline for protective energy under an eclipsing moon, because it carries such a grounding protective force.
Black Tourmaline is my favorite gem to work with when it comes to doing shielding work. I can work with this powerfully strong mineral to block out any spiritual spies from ‘seeing’ me or my family.
“Out of sight, out of mind.”
It’s a simple method of being in the shadows where I can be safely out of sight from those who wish to cause me trouble.
Out of all the smokey quartz I have in my magical tool box, my raw double terminated smokey quartz wand is my go-to crystal for transmuting negative energy that may come from different directions. Since this full super blood moon will be eclipsing we should be watchful about the energy that can permeate the spaces around us.
For those who work with the other elements I recommend anointing your protective crystals with black pepper essential oil. Your fiery crystals can be anointed with orange essential oil. After ritual you can cleanse their energy by smudging with sage and placing in a bowl of salt over night. I like to work with herbs as well and sometimes sprinkle dried flowers and herbs over my crystals to balance their energy. Some herbs I’ve used are fresh ground black pepper, lavender, rose petals, and sage.
Taurus is all about aesthetics. Does everything look pretty, colors blend well, textures are luxurious and comfortable? This is what Taurus is all about. So it makes sense to work with the Taurus Full Moon to make sure we’re ready for what lies ahead.
We’re preparing for winter and the nights are already cooler and get darker earlier in the evening.
How’s the bedroom looking and feeling? It’s time to feather the nest for the long winter nights.
Clean night stand? Is the headboard dusted? Uncluttered?
🕯Set out a nice candle and clean the linens. Time to pull out the softy blankets for snuggle time.
Taurus also governs daily routines in the home. This is my fav time of year for creating beautiful morning rituals to help set the mood for when the family wakes up.
Essential oil diffuser (rosemary and lemon wake up the brain)
Candles (mornings are darker longer)
Simmer cinnamon and cloves on the stove top 💎Crystal correspondences: selenite, quartz, orange calcite
💰Taurus also governs money matters! When it comes to working with prosperity energy, Taurus knows how to manifest! Let the universe know you trust it to provide and no better way than to invest some dollars into blessing others.
IDEAS: 🛍Shop with small businesses,
☕️treat someone to coffee/tea,
🤲🏻donate to a shelter.
Participate with the Universe to help brighten someone’s day.
👫👭👬Taurus us also all about relationships and Taurus is ruled by 💕Venus! Taureans are talkative and this full moon is a good time to heal the throat chakra and speak your truth. Be kind and firm. Make sure people know your boundaries. 💎Crystal correpsondences are: larimar, lapis lazuli, and celestite
PICK one thing from above and let us know what you’re going to work on!
August 21st we are going to see a solar eclipse like no other. We live in an era where the Goddess (in all her many forms) has been walking to and from on the earth and in the heavenly places to show us she is not dead. She truly lives. After thousands of years of patriarchy authoritarians, from churches to politics, the Divine Feminine is rising in strength and grace.
Of all the zodiacs, I can’t think of any other that would roar quite like this one. With each sign we have both masculine and feminine. In the case with Leo, we have a powerful couple represented with Lion (king of the jungle) and Lioness (mother of us all). She is the hunter, the mother, and the chooser of her mate. She protects, she feeds, and she roars! Hell hath no fury like a lioness scorned! She represents the divine wisdom of the power couple. While the male does fight and protect his pride, the lioness is cunning and multitasks as she surveys her surroundings. She won’t let her cubs go unprotected and her sister lionesses will aid her as the family they are.
When the full moon eclipses the summer sun, the winds will calm and the breeze will cool. It will be that eerie feeling that someone is watching you, maybe it’s the lioness. The Divine Feminine, Luna, takes center stage to reveal the power of the Lioness. In an age of male dominance we look to the Goddess to guide and show us her fierce resolve. If you’re a female Leo be prepared to let your voice be heard and your actions be seen. Luna will guide you and take the heat off.
If you’re rising sign is Leo, take special note to how you’re presenting yourself to the world. Take this time to cultivate your inner Lioness and follow the guidance of your spirit. Maybe it’s time you step out of the shadows and embrace your rising sign for the goddess she is. This could be a time of great awakening for you, a time to walk in the sunlight and let your golden crown be seen and your authority to be known.
If your Venus is in Leo, this could be a time for you to pay close attention to the life partner you’re choosing. Your Venus is how you love and if you love like a lioness then more power to you as you remain selective in choosing a mate. Don’t settle for anything less than a king you can proudly stand next to.
If your moon sign is Leo, then this could be a time to use caution. While this moon is overshadowing the Leo sun, she is known as Lilith the Black Moon. Lilith shines her dark cloak with a reflection that shows you who you truly are. In the beginning, darkness was upon the face of the earth. Lilith is our birth into this life and her fierce dark flame rises high in the sky, along with all the female deities that correspond to her. Kali, Freyja, The Morrigan, Pele, and many more. These are the Kick-Ass Goddesses and their time is here and now.
Now, more than ever before, we live in a time where we can be ourselves. We have more liberty to live out loud than ever before. The Goddesses are depicted as beauty in artistic forms that line the museums of our world, but where do we see the manifestations of the strength of the Goddess in our current times in society? It’s time she makes herself known and she does so through you.
