In 1863, French mineralogist Alexis Damour discovered that what at the time was being called Jade, were actually two distinct mineral species, Jadeite and Nephrite. Nephrite Jade’s name is originates from lapis nephriticus, and is derived from Greek λίθος νεφριτικός; νεφρός λίθος, which means ‘kidney stone’. Jade has been believed to offer healing, protection, and good luck! As I was conversing with a professor with a Gemology Degree, he explained that both types of Jade are equally considered authentic Jade. There’s some misnomers about Jade in internet circles, but be assured both Nephrite and Jadeite are acceptable forms of authentic Jade.
You can work with Jade for improving health and for manifesting good luck and prosperity.
