Abundance Principles- Intention

Intention: When we’re planting seeds for a specific outcome, we plant with intention. We plant with care, consideration, and purpose. Scattering seeds in the wind has very little opportunity for manifestation. Are you ready for the next New Moon? That’s the time to make some definitive intentions.

Here are a few tips to setting your intentions:

Use the magic of your scripting hand by writing your intentions down on paper.

Be careful what you wish for.

May your intentions be for the highest good of all.

Plan your intentions with gratitude.

Abundance Principles- Self Reflection

Self Reflection: I would venture to say most people do not practice self-reflection. Looking inward is often met with fear and resistance and these are limiting to our personal growth and development. We want to create sacred space where abundance can thrive, but we need to look inward and be able to recognize the areas that need our healing attention.

Let me ease your fears and resistance to practicing self reflection. When you look within, Source is going to guide you to what you can safely handle, yet enough to challenge you to make steps toward change. Because once you make a change, no matter how small, it’s going to be significant enough to start a chain reaction of changes to lead you to total transformation.

Here are some crystals to support you in your transformation journey:

Peacock Ore: Peacock Ore, is gloriously splashed with metallic colors. It is said to be supportive of anyone who is working inwardly to make positive changes in their lives.

Moldavite: It’s no wonder Moldavite is a crystal well sought after, it’s formed from a meteorite that hit the earth and created this very unique piece of magic. Can we harness its power to transform ourselves in such a treasured manner as it transformed bits of earth?

Amethyst: In Greek, Amethyst means “not intoxicated” and is often the crystal people turn to when they want a positive change in life. It’s perfect for those in recovery from addiction.

Using these three crystals together is a powerhouse trio for ultimate transformation.

Crystal Healing on a Budget

Many lovers of Crystal wellness can become overwhelmed with the investment cost of crystals, but you don’t have to collect pricey stones to work your wellness magic. When I started my Crystal journey, I began with one green calcite stone that cost me about $4.

Over the years I have hunted for good deals to increase my wellness collection which includes crystals, sage, lavender, essential oils and much more. The very first thing I had to do was to release limiting beliefs.

Once I did that, The Universe opened the opportunity and possibility for me to begin my essential oil business. I began anointing myself, my home, and my path with oils for abundance, focus, and light work which broadened my opportunities.

I hunted for opportunities to find crystals according to my budget. Visiting meta stores, street fairs, gem fairs, and even TJMaxx/Home Goods and thrift shops. When you hunt, you find!

Now I’m creating magic for myself, my friends and loved ones, and launched a Crystal Wellness component to my business. It IS possible, my friends!

I’m excited to share more with you and hope you’ll release those limiting beliefs.  Start anointing your intuitive path today. You’ll see the supplies making their way into your practice. Broaden your imagination to make space for your collection.

Magically yours,

Magical Vocabulum- Scrying

Scrying simply means, ‘to discern’. This comes quite naturally for a lot of people, though they may not know this is what it’s called. Do you see distinct shapes in the clouds? In the leaves of trees? In the sea foam as it embraces the sand? How about in the swirling of color in floor tiles? It’s called scrying and you can learn a lot about yourself if you meditate on what you’re seeing.

What do you see most often? Faces, animals, shapes?

You can scry into the smoke of the incense in the image above by softening your eyes, relaxing your focus and opening your mind. The shapes you see could reveal some inner work that needs to be addressed or could inspire your creative side as you conspire with the Universe to shape your future.

You’ve seen scrying practiced before in childhood tales. Do you recall the famous words, “Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” The evil queen from the story of the princess friend to seven dwarves, gazes confidently into the mirror as she asks for her truth to be told. Then the day finally came when the mirror no longer spoke her truth, but rather the truth of another. The magic mirror voiced there was one fairer than she, but not only was the princess fair in physical beauty, but more importantly she was a beauty in the heart. This is the risk we take when asking for truth to be told. We’re not always going to hear what we want to hear. This work we do in the world is first about healing ourselves. If we hide from the truth then we weaken ourselves as light workers.

Scrying can be done in numerous ways, but the most common are in mirrors and water. Other methods are in flames of a fire or candle, waterfalls, black onyx or black obsidian plates, steam over hot water, and crystal balls.

You can learn more in my class “Magical Tools”. In this class, we study various tools, their origin in magic, and how to use them in your modern day practice.

In what ways have you practiced scrying?

Abundance Principles- Planting Seeds

We’re often thinking of how we can plant seeds in the lives of others, but how often do we think of doing the same for ourselves? Planting seeds is an intentional practice of abundance. There’s a vast metaphor within this lesson that will span a few more Abundance Principles and I want to make sure you benefit from this. In order for us to effectively plant seeds for others, we need to first be our own Master Gardener.

What seeds have you planted in your own garden? If you want your kids to accept who they are, you first must accept who you are. If you want your family to be loving, that starts with you exemplifying love. Want your kids to share, but do you share? This principle goes hand in hand with the previous one principle, self reflection. What seeds are you planting in yourself? Are you being kind to yourself? Loving? Brave?

What seeds can you plant today?

Magical Vocabulum- Anoint

This Magical Vocabulum lesson comes from ancient practices dating back to ancient Egypt.

Anoint: to smear with oil for consecrating. To make holy or devote.

Ancient peoples anointed their tools, sacred spaces, and even themselves for holy work. Even the Bible tells the stories of anointing with precious oils. A practice many people have neglected and yet holds so much power. I feel we are in a time when our land deserves and demands our consecrated attention, intentions, and prayers.

When we use perfumes made of essential oils, botanicals, and even absolutes we are layering our intentions with these aromatic essences. Studying the intricate parts of each plant, the oils are taken from, opens a door of meditation to deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. It’s a practice to heighten and deepen our senses as well as empowering our intentions to manifest the impossible in our lives.

I include a hand crafted anointing blend with several of my Altar Kits, because I understand the power and importance in anointing.

You can learn more in my class “Earth as Medicine”.  In these classes we explore a multitude of herbs and essential oils and how they work.

Why Every Light Worker Needs to Learn This

What to do when you have built up energy, worked with it, and need to give it back to the Universe to avoid overload:

Connect with Earth with bare feet and hands.

While we can talk about the feel of the earth under bare feet and toes, there’s something far more intrinsic about how it relates to the soul. Being bare and unprotected teaches us to trust and be vulnerable. This is what ‘earthing’ does for our spiritual journey. Our feet represent where we go in this life, our hands represent what we do. There’s no better place to build our strength than to walk through places where we can be vulnerable and to serve others who make us uncomfortable. How can we, as light workers, serve our community if we haven’t faced our own fears? How do we intuitively guide others if we haven’t already walked that path and emerged victoriously?

Most people don’t want to be vulnerable. When we refuse to allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we rob ourselves from the opportunity to become stronger. What happens in that process can be both harmful and helpful at the same time, we develop callouses. Callouses can be protective, but also hurtful. This is both a physical aspect of life as well as an emotional and spiritual one. We’re all born vulnerable and we all develop callouses.

Being vulnerable doesn’t mean we’re going to render ourselves unprotected. There’s always an element of protection that is required while being vulnerable. If we have no safeguards in place then we wouldn’t be able to trust being vulnerable. Building a layer of protection is crucial to our work, both personally and professionally. When we’re working with people who come to us for spiritual guidance, we need to have our own layer of protection. There’s a lot more to teach about protection and it deserves more than just a blog post. For now, I want to focus more on how to release the tension we see and feel happening to us on a daily basis. That tension that comes from being exposed, from being vulnerable, can build up over time and become quite unattractive.

We attract a multitude of energy from others as we walk through the store, endure traffic and drivers with road rage, and even while raising toddlers with tantrums. Nothing hurts our families like allowing all that energy to follow us back home. When we open our front door at the end of the day and walk in with  energetic parasites leeching on us we will manifest their sickness and infect our families. At the end of the day, we bring home all kinds of tension. The earth is there to be our greatest ally and healer in this work we’re called to.

Below are a few examples of how you can release that tension at the end of the day.

The simplest release method is to touch the earth with our skin. Our bare feet and palms of our hands release in such a natural way. Kick off your shoes and socks and plant your feet on the ground. In the dirt, sand, or grass is best, but even on the concrete will work. Sit on a bench or stool outside your home and rest your feet gently, lifting periodically to allow air to move freely around your feet. Wiggle your toes and imagine the tension being released, as though you’re sprinkling it off and the earth is accepting it from you. Allow yourself to feel the blades of grass wiping and cleansing your feet of anything that won’t serve you and your family. Emotional, mental, and spiritual friction can create a calloused exterior. Rub your feet in the sand and visualize it exfoliating the rough patches of energy that developed during your day of friction.

Obviously, going barefoot is easier in climates with mild weather. If you can’t get to Earth (many live in cities and several blocks from a park): keep a sacred bowl of earth and stones in your home somewhere that can be used. While sitting down, place your bare feet in the dirt and send the energy to the earth. Allow earth to receive that energy. Brush off the dirt from your feet then place them in a foot bath with sea salt for cleansing. You can also add some essential oils like rosemary, lavender, or patchouli.

Another method, to be used with our hands, is through touch. We have palm trees in front of our home, do you have a tree in your yard or even in the parking lot at work? Trees, especially palm trees, endure a lot of battering in the elements of the sun, wind, and rain. They take a lot and become stronger over time. They’re strong enough to receive your tension and send it back to the earth through their firmly planted roots. Place your hands on the trunk of the tree and thank it for being your ally. Breathe in the oxygen its leaves are offering to you and allow your lungs to receive the cleansing Air has to offer you. As you exhale, you’re releasing what no longer serves you and your tree willingly accepts it through the carbon dioxide you offer back. The tree is able to filter out the negative energy and use the rest for food through photosynthesis. Once you feel the tension release, place your hands palm-to-palm and bow then offer your gratitude for the work the tree does on your behalf. Make sure you’re taking good care of your tree all year long. While the tree is your ally, you also need to be an ally in return.

Create a salt scrub for your hands and feet. Sea salt with grounding oils (like patchouli, sandalwood, or Vetiver) and gently scrub hands and feet then take a bath or shower and wash it all away. Keep your salt scrub at the kitchen or laundry sink to use as soon as you come home.

Abundance Principles- Value

How we value life and all that’s contained therein can greatly influence how abundance manifests in our lives. How do we value ourselves, our families, what we currently posses, and what we have not yet achieved? Are we practicing gratitude?

The system of our society places value on life and possessions based on greed. If money wasn’t a part of the system, how would your value meter change? How we value will directly influence how we manifest abundance.

We have to get to the gritty parts of our thinking and our emotions and do some serious work.

We’re either manifesting passively or purposefully and our subconscious values are at work. Are your values working against you or in your favor?

Magical Vocabulum- Tasseography

The only magical thing I know of my grandmother, on my father’s side, was that she read tea leaves. I wish I could’ve had the chance to be inquisitive about her spiritual beliefs, but it wasn’t a thought on my mind at the time. Oh, if we could turn back time! Needless to say, my knowledge of reading tea leaves had to come through research, practice, and meditation. One of the beautiful things about intuitive arts is the liberality of your own creative style.

Tasseography: to gain divine insight by discerning tea leaves. In Middle Eastern Traditions, coffee grounds are read for divine guidance. Did you know you could also read sediment left behind by wine? Just another good reason to pour a glass.

There are psychological aspects to reading tea leaves, similar to that of inkblot readings by your psychologist. It all started with Swiss Freudian Psychiatrist, Hermann Rorschach. It’s been a method of examining a person’s personality characteristics and emotional wellbeing. The methods between the psychological reading of inkblots and the metaphysical have similarities, but also some distinctive differences.

A psychologist may dissect what you see in the inkblot as a method of investigating what has already taken place in you. Whereas a tea leaf reader may look into your future with what’s left in your tea cup. Both methods can be equally helpful for our overall wellness.

Tasseography is widely known of in the Gypsy community, but people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds can be a talented tea leaf readers. Intuitive Art is a craft that any artist can tap into and develop their skills in a way that’s productive for them. I don’t buy into the idea that any particular region has the corner market on spiritual skills and talents, though I do recognize and honor the depth each holds in their heritage. If you’re feeling called to deepen your soul with tasseography, start with the Gypsy community and see where they take you.

There are graphics online that show symbolism and shapes to guide you in interpreting the images you see in the bottom of the cup, but also consider writing your own key based on what your intuition teaches you.

Did you know you can use specific herbs to enhance your tea leaf readings? You can learn more about herbal magic in my class “Intuitive Practitioner”. In this class, we journey together in developing a personal intuitive practice to not only benefit ourselves, but everyone else we are mentoring and guiding.
